Using Assist Me

Doorbell Hub - Safety & Security

Using Assist Me when you need another pair of eyes and ears

If a visitor presses your doorbell late at night, when your home alone, do you immediately go and answer the door? Or do you stop and think about your own safety and whether you know who it is? With the Doro Hemma Doorbell, you can easily do just that, with the ability to see who is outside, and decide if you want to answer the door. Or perhaps you would prefer to divert the caller to a chosen relative to deal with the situation, taking advantage of the fantastic Assist Me feature.

The 'Assist Me' sequence

Owners phone (Assist Me trigger)

Someone rings the door

Initiation of Assist Me function

Call is handed over to helpers

Helper accepted the call

Helpers phone (Assit Me responder)

Helper receives the video call

Helper is handling the call

When a caller presses the doorbell, you get the instant video screen pop up. Here you can decide if you want to answer or decline the caller, or at the top you can press the ‘Assist Me’ button.

The Assist Me request is broadcasted to all people that are part of the home.

The first person that accepts the call is then in charge of the Assist Me procedure. Once they have accepted the call, you will see an update pop up that they have answered. They will then be able to speak directly to the caller outside your door and manage the situation on your behalf.
